DSC Requirements

DEPARTMENTAL SECURITY COORDINATOR REQUIREMENTS 

  • Understand which regulatory compliance rules apply to your Department or Business Unit
  • Understand the business workflow and organization hierarchy for the Department or Business Unit
  • Understand where restricted data is created, stored, transmitted, deleted or destroyed in electronic or hard copy form.
  • Understand the Information Systems utilized throughout the Department or Business Unit to create, store, transmit, delete or destroy restricted data.
  • Be empowered as an authority within the Department or Business Unit to take action in response to Information Security policies and procedures.
  • Be empowered within the Department or Business Unit to plan, design and coordinate Information Security training efforts.
